Unlike a topical stain, a reactive treatment process penetrates the top veneer of our engineered wood planks. If the wax oiled multi-color engineered flooring does manage to get scratched,the chemical treatment wood floor will be a lot less noticeable than a stained floor, which only has the color on the surface of the wood.
